This is an internal policy, only for active editors. There is no game content here.

GOLDEN RULE: COORDINATE. See below for details. Main coordination mechanism is Discord (but see below for wiki ways). However, if you expect to be a long-time contributor, it is expected of you to at least have access and use the Discord server, if only for private messages.

General principles[]

  • The wiki is mostly read-only unless there is a game update (though of course you can correct errors if you find them). If you are planning to contribute extensively, please check in with the active users first, to ensure smooth operations.
  • If you're unsure of what to do, or want to coordinate, you can ask an active editor. See the user list, sort by "Last Edited" column, and follow the "wall" link to ask on the user's Message Wall. Although you'll probably get a faster answer on the Discord.
  • If you see a problem, but do not know how to tackle it, use the Talk page to discuss it first. The same (but more important), if you find a disagreement with another editor. Good discussions make for good neighbors.
  • As a Schelling point, assume 3 days as the "reasonable waiting period" for "I've asked in a Talk page / Message Wall, but nobody answered, so I went ahead and did the changes".
    • Yes, it is a long time. This wiki sees little traffic. It goes with the territory.
    • This cuts both ways. If the editor asked first, don't undo lightly, but discuss first.
  • Leave a reason for the edit. Help the others understand what you're trying to do.
  • Be nice. Be polite. Assume good faith. Don't bite the newcomers. The standard beat.

Edit wars[]

No edit wars, please. Check https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Edit_warring and the Three Revert Rule. If a conflict arise, and you cannot resolve it civilly by a Talk page / Message Wall discussion, ask an Administrator (sysop, on Users List) for help. If all else fails, contact Scarbrow.

Experienced editors[]

  • Use the "rollback" feature sparingly, if at all. It is a tool to make expedited decisions in case of repeated vandalism or when the edit is very clearly spam/gibberish (that is, adding external links, adding "hihihihi", trolling, insults, things like that). If it's not a completely clear-cut case, better undo, with a comment of what went wrong.
  • The purpose of this consideration, is to make it easier for future editors to know what went wrong on each specific case. We can't expect future editors to read our minds.

Wiki reconstruction project[]

  • This project started with a Discord poll. 89% of 18 active users (poll lasted for only 24h) agreed with 8th's proposal. This is from 15/08/2024 10:56 (start date)
  • An Announcements page is created on 16 August 2024 12:48, almost as soon as the poll closes
  • Massive deletions start a few hours later
  • Discussion thread starts shortly after.

We should write here what the policy is to be. As this is a WIP, check the Talk page.

Current leaders of this effort are 8thpurple and DargoH

8th put up a new poll, duration one week. He put it on #general. He pinned it to the channel. There were several reminders, in a couple of channels. Even with that, the poll had 16 votes at the 24h mark, and only 22 votes by the 4th day, supporting that only the most-online or most-in-Discord users vote, and only when they first see it. At this moment the positions are 67% for "less pages" and 33% for "more pages".
